It was for this freedom that Christ set us free completely liberating us; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery which you once removed.


True believers who are the children of the promise and of the covenant, are accounted free, and shall abide for ever in the house, they shall have a nail in the holy place on earth. Ezr9:8-9 And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem and mansions in the holy place in heaven.Joh14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh8:31Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. What dose this mean to be really free ? There is two ways to see your self as free, A Free spirit which is a person who thinks and acts in an uninhibited way without worrying about normal social rules.
A Spiritual free person is when you are no longer bound by thought identification/thought perception. You experience what and who you are, what life is beyond what thinking says is here. You become free from being bound by that sense of “me” that is separate from everything and experience the oneness that is everything. Spiritual freedom refers to a state where a person is socially and spiritually free, allowing him to prosper both materially and spiritually.
For such a person, there remains salvation in this world and in the Hereafter. On the other hand, if people do not have real freedom then their inner potential will be wasted. Joh 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Jesus Christ in the gospel offers us our freedom; he has authority and power to make us free and to discharge prisoners.
This he does in justification, by making satisfaction for our guilt on which the gospel offer is grounded, which is to all a conditional act of indemnity, and to all true believers, upon their believing, an absolute charter of pardon, and for our debts, for which we were by the law arrested and in execution. Christ, as our surety, or rather our bailer for he was not originally bound with us, but upon our insolvency bound for us, compounds with the creditor, answers the demands of injured justice with more than an equivalent.
Takes the bond and judgment into his own hands, and gives them up cancelled to all that by faith and repentance give him (if I may so say) a counter-security to save his honour harmless, and so they are made free; and from the debt, and every part thereof, they are for ever acquitted, exonerated, and discharged, and a general release is sealed of all actions and claims; while against those who refuse to come up to these terms the securities lie still in the Redeemer's hands, in full force.
He has a power to rescue bond-slaves, and this he does in sanctification; by the powerful arguments of his gospel, and the powerful operations of his Spirit, he breaks the power of corruption in the soul, rallies the scattered forces of reason and virtue, and fortifies God's interest against sin and Satan, and so the soul is made free He has a power to naturalize strangers and foreigners, and this he does in adoption.
Eph 1:5-7 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. This is a further act of grace; we are not only forgiven and healed, but preferred.
There is a charter of privileges as well as pardon; and thus the Son makes us free denizens of the kingdom of priests, the holy nation, the new Jerusalem. Here is also the rule and the fontal cause of God's election: it is according to the good pleasure of his will not for the sake of any thing in them foreseen, but because it was his sovereign will, and a thing highly pleasing to him.
It is according to the purpose, the fixed and unalterable will, of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will who powerfully accomplishes whatever concerns his elect, as he has wisely and freely fore-ordained and decreed, the last and great end and design of all which is his own glory to the praise of the glory of his grace that we should be to the praise of his glory that is, that we should live and behave ourselves in such a manner that his rich grace might be magnified, and appear glorious, and worthy of the highest praise.
All is of God, and from him, and through him, and therefore all must be to him, and centre in his praise. We cannot be thus accepted of God, but in and through Jesus Christ. He loves his people for the sake of the beloved. For the remission of sins, and redemption is through the blood of Jesus, there is no remission without redemption. It was by reason of sin that we were captivated, and we cannot be released from our captivity but by the remission of our sins.
Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Rom 5:15-18 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many to be set free, and not as it was by the one that sinned, as the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
For if by one man's offence death reigned; by one much more they which who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life, He who the Son set free is free indeed. Rom 6:20-23 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
This redemption we have in Christ, and this remission is through his blood. The guilt and the stain of sin could be no otherwise removed than by the blood of Jesus. All our spiritual blessings flow down to us in that stream. This great benefit, and the free gift which comes freely to us, was dearly bought and paid for by our blessed Lord and Savior; and yet it is according to the riches of God's grace. Christ's satisfaction and God's rich grace are very consistent in the great affair of man's redemption. God was satisfied by Christ as our substitute and surety; but it was a rich grace that would be accept of a surety, when he might have executed the severity of the law upon the transgressor, and it was rich grace to provide such a surety as his own Son, and freely to deliver him up, when nothing of that nature could have entered into our thoughts, nor have been any otherwise found out for us so that if we have this from him, you too like myself can indeed say "I'M DEBT FREE"! AMEN BE BLESSED
